The 5th Validation of Prior Learning Biennale took place in Kilkenny, Ireland from 6-8 May 2024. More than 350 colleagues from around the world gathered to focus on the conference theme, “People, Validation and Power: Democracy in Action?”

This upcoming issue of PLAIO will include transcripts of panels, our keynote talk, “Exploring ‘Recognition’ in the Recognition of Prior Learning: Democracy, Freedom and RPL” by Ted Fleming, and more than 30 essays by contributors to the conference, which was hosted by Canada, the US, and Ireland.

Please expect to see this new issue of PLAIO in early 2025.
